Welcome to the Illawarra Transition to School Program website! Starting 'big school' is an important and exciting time for families and their kindy children.

The Illawarra Transition to School Program is dedicated to promoting an optimal transition for children entering formal schooling by providing current research-based information, available avenues of practical support across the Illawarra and links to related resources. There are established networks for Wollongong, Shellharbour/Kiama, Nowra, and transition to school for Aboriginal children.

The Transition to School Program is funded by Families NSW, a NSW Government early intervention strategy that helps parents give their children a good start in life, and is managed by Illawarra Children's Services.
